We invite you to come camp on 77 acres of varied land. Woods, fields, swimming pond, hiking trails, goats, and possibly even other campers, although it's very private if that's how you'd like it. You may be perfectly content staying put, but if you seek small town offerings, Chatham (15 minutes away) offers restaurants, art galleries, a brewery, movie theatre, two bakeries, and some shops. We are half an hour from Hudson, and in the midst of plentiful Berkshire and Hudson Valley hiking, biking, antiquing, and sightseeing opportunities. Enjoy the big view from the highest corner of the big field. This is a sweet little campsite set in a birch grove with a view to the Catskills, and lots of wildlife. Two minute walk from your car, and a five minute walk to a swimming pond and a composting toilet outhouse. Near Chatham, New York where there is a brewery, cheese shop, bakery, restaurants, and a movie theatre. We are half an hour from Hudson, and in the midst of plentiful Berkshire and Hudson Valley hiking, biking and sightseeing opportunities. Early check-in and late check-out are often fine; just ask. *Special note for winter campers: depending on both snowfall and what you are driving, the parking locations may change. If we can, we will be happy to either ferry you via our 4WD, or help you carry your stuff in. The winter is really fun and beautiful. It's really nice here and we're happy to share it. Amazing spot. The camping spot and surrounding area is beautiful. Our host William was very helpful and answers any questions very quickly. One thing I wish I knew in advance was that the parking spot was not where you camp (because our tent was a truck tent) but it’s a quick walk to a really nice fire pit. All and all I would suggest this spot to anyone who likes a little privacy while camping and is a fan of amazing views.

was muddy and freezing when I got there but that is what I signed up for / would love to visit again in the late spring as there was a nice pond

Exceptional Campsite and Host! 💫✨
The Birch Campsite had such a wonderful view of the catskill mountains. It was private, well kept, and beyond gorgeous!!! Nature at its best- saw rabbits 🐇, birds, etc. The host, William was super responsive (excellent communication from the moment you book until you leave). He allowed us to get there earlier and stay later if we wanted. His wife, Melanie and his son were super friendly and welcoming. We hiked with them through the forest while having such nice conversation. Certainly, this is just not about the profit; they genuinely just want to share their beautiful land with their guests/ campers. Price is extraordinary! We will definitely be coming back (we tend not to repeat campsites but this place is a gem)…a campsite that must be repeated.

A Winter Experience To Remember!
This is an awesome camping site. The view from this site is amazing! When the sun came out & shined over the top of the mountains it was just breathtaking. William was a total gentleman replying to all of my messages and giving me details and information about what I needed & what to expect. I arrived a bit later than I expected but I had no issues getting to this point. William was kind in letting us in. I will most definitely consider coming back here in the warmer season.
